One Steiff A Day: Arco Polar Bear

With their playful antics, cuddly bodies, and enchanting faces, it's easy to love polar bears. And it's especially easy to love our polar bear on all fours. Standing at a formidable 55 centimetres, he's a commanding presence - giving you lots and lots to hug. Arco is the follow-up to our tremendously popular Grizzly on All Fours from last year, and we think he's even more appealing. He's made from white alpaca and features airbrushed accents that add realism to his character. While his body looks like a real polar bear's, his (jointed) head and face are more Teddy-like, making him especially charming. Regardless of whether you bought last year's Grizzly, you'll definitely want to make a spot in your collection for our Arco Polar Bear on All Fours.

The Steiff 2011 Worldwide Limited Edition collection has officially been launched and is available for pre-order on our website. For the month of February, we'll be featuring one item a day on our blog. "One Steiff A Day" begins today at Mostly Bears.

Valentin Rabbit!

"The name is Valentin, not Valentine," says our jocose rabbit with a chuckle. "And it's very nice to meet you." Steiff has been introducing new characters for more than 125 years, so it's our pleasure to present Valentin, our latest colourful personality. Dressed in silken vest and bow tie, he's quite the stylish bunny. And terribly polite, too! Valentin was a joy for us to produce. He's sewn from rich, dense alpaca and has plenty of accent airbrushing that brings his personality to life. He's five-way jointed and features a gold-plated Button in Ear. Most importantly, he'd like to be your friend. "Shall we have a cup of cappuccino at your house?" he asks. Naturally, you agree. And once you get to know Valentin, you'll want him to stay a very, very long time.
