Our offering today is a Deb Canham Artist Designs "InBetweenie", Dilly & Dino.
Yes, this is a retired piece & yes, I admit I've been sort-of keeping Dilly "under the radar" at the store for quite some time. As most of my regular customers know, the best and most wonderful bears are usually stashed a wee bit out of the way, tucked in here and tucked in there.
Once, there was a rumor that maybe the owner doesn't REALLY want to sell ALL the bears... so, our advice to you is, if you get a chance to stop into Mostly Bears in person, be sure to check the nooks and crannies, you might just discover a wonderful treasure, such as Dilly & Dino here...

Octobearfest, Day 2

We are posting one bear/animal/item a day for the month of October. Five dollars from each purchase will go to our fall fundraising recipient, Tours of Peace.

Here's today's offering...

A 7" sparse grey bear, the mohair fabric has tan backing which shows through the fur. He's wearing a sweater and long scarf. Jointed bear, ultraseude paw pads, glass eyes and stitched nose. This bear was made by artist Guenivere Gurtler. Specially priced at $60 (reg. $80)

All buyers will be entered into a drawing to win a Steiff Christmas ornament, which we'll draw during our artist signing on November 15th.

New FUNdraiser! "Octobearfest" Day One...

Our fall fundraiser is officially underway. This year's recipient will be Tours of Peace, a nonprofit humanitarian organization (founded in 1998, in Tucson) which provides programs to help veterans and families heal and recover from the trauma of the Vietnam War. Among other things, TOP offers opportunities for veterans and/or their families to travel to Vietnam on humanitarian missions, visiting places of significance to them and at the same time giving back to the local communities. I hope you'll visit their website at http://www.topvietnamveterans.org/ and join us in our efforts to raise some money for this very deserving program.

There will be three ways to help raise $$ for TOP. The first will be here on the blog. We will be hosting a month-long "bear sale"... which we're calling Octobearfest... (catchy, huh?) We'll be showcasing a different bear or animal, specially priced, each day here on the blog. For every piece sold, $5 will go to TOP.

As an added incentive, all buyers will be entered into a drawing to win a Steiff Christmas ornament, which we'll draw during our artist signing on November 15th.
