It's sorta like Christmas...

It's a whole lot of fun whenever I get Steiff deliveries. I opened a few of the boxes this afternoon.
Hope to get the rest tomorrow.
I thought I'd share what I've found so far...

Mystery Solved!

 We are pleased to announce...

Piggies: "We've been mulling it over for a LONG time...

We've studied, we've planned...

We've plotted & crammed...

We learned aeronautics and even how to carve...

We found the best artist, for piggies she's marv... (-elous!)

We're ready to meet you, we're sure you'll see why...

We figured it out...

Piggies CAN Fly!"

A special artist creation

by Cindy McGuire of China Cupboard Bears...

"When Pigs Fly!"

Unexpectedly unique & available exclusively at Mostly Bears...

A 7" mohair pig... pink of course... made by artist Cindy McGuire.

This little guy has jointed arms and legs... umm, little short arms and legs of course, as piggies must... he's got a felt snout, dark grey shaded nose, (his tail is made from a black pipe cleaner!) and he comes adorned with vintage red buttons on his ample belly. His eyes are glass.

The felt beanie sports a hand-made oak prop. (hand carved by my awesome woodworking brother...)
The flying apparatus is attached with assorted vintage beads.

"When Pigs Fly" comes in a very limited edition of 10 pieces.

Exclusively at Mostly Bears ~ $175
Available now...   CLICK HERE to visit our website or to purchase.

Thank you for looking!

And may we suggest a visit to Cindy's McGuire's China Cupboard Bears website here to see some of her other wonderful creations?  Enjoy!

Remembering D-Day.

Today, I am keeping in my thoughts all the WWII veterans, most of whom are gone now, who served bravely & proudly on June 6th, 1944. Thank you!

And also remembering my Dad, who wasn't on the beaches of Normandy, but was nonetheless in the service, I believe elsewhere in Europe, at the time... while Mom spent the day in the hospital where she gave birth to my brother at 4 minutes before midnight.
Happy 67th Birthday to my brother Tim!
